movies to watch when i'm feeling down ♬

As Hannah Montana once said, "Everybody has those days", and we as humans are always looking for away to not have those days. However, perfection is impossible. We are always going to have a day when we just want to make a big bowl of mac and cheese and watch a movie. My big dilemma always goes along the lines of "I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO WATCH!!". As your honorary big sister, it is my job to prevent you from going through the same horrible things that I went through. Here are a couple movies I always watch whenever I'm having a bad day.

  • Anything Audrey. Honestly, the best way to calm down is to watch  an Audrey Hepburn movie. She has such a calming voice, and a flash back a 50 years is a great way to escape reality.(Available on Netflix)
  • Flypaper - Starring Ashley Judd and Patrick Dempsey, this movie always seems to cheer me up. Maybe it's just that I love bad action movies, or also possibly because I think that Matt Ryan (who plays Gates) is unbelievably awesome in this movie. Flypaper is about a 3 bank robberies at the same bank, at the same time. It has so many funny lines, a unique story, and a really great twist at the end. Sadly, Flypaper isn't on Netflix, but it is on Amazon Prime and I'm sure you can find it somewhere online.
  • The Princess Bride - You really can't go wrong with this movie. I've probably seen it about 80 times, and I still can't get enough. It is a fantastic mix between romance, adventure, and humor. And come on, who doesn't like movies about handsome guys wielding swords and fighting evil just so that you're happy?
  • Forest Gump - I know way to many people who haven't seen the movie. Starring Tom Hanks as Forest Gump, I don't think a movie could be any wittier. There are so many moments when you're watching it where you can't believe that just happened! (Fun Fact: I actually visited the place where they filmed one of the iconic scenes in the movie where his young friend yells "RUN FOREST RUN!". It was at this giant plantation in Savannah, and it was so cool!) If you haven't seen this, I promise you won't regret it. Plus it makes going to Bubba Gump a lot more fun.
  • Pretty Woman - It's about time that we got some romantic comedy action up in here! This movie is a story about a prostitute named Vivian (Julia Roberts) who meets a very rich man, Edward, who needs an escort to some social events. It shows Vivian trying to adjust to Edward's world, and SPOILER ALERT: They fall in love! I know what you're thinking, "A prostitute? No way!", but this movie is too good to miss. And if you don't believe me, ask the any movie fanatic! Pretty Woman was nominated for 7 awards, and Julia Roberts even won a Golden Globe for her performance. (Available on Netflix)
  • WALL-E - If you are looking for a classic cartoon to cheer you up, check out WALL-E. This adorable little love tale about post apocalyptic earth is heartbreakingly cute. With almost no dialogue at all, somehow two robots named Eve and WALL-E find each other when they need it most. While the pair is trying to save the polluted Earth, they meet countless other (also adorable) robots to help them along the way.
  • Charlie's Angels - As a lot of my good friends know, I am completely obsessed with Charlie's Angels. Not only is it an incredible movie, but it was also based off of an iconic TV show starring my dad's all time celebrity crush: Farrah Fawcett. Like I said above, I love watching action movies to cheer me up, and you really can't go wrong with a movie like Charlie's Angels. (Available on Netflix)
  • Clueless - Based off of Jane Austen's classic novel, Emma, this movie is hilariously fab. If you liked Mean Girls, you will definitely love Clueless. Its about a girl named Cher playing matchmaker for her friends, but it never quite goes exactly how she wants it to. A little chick flick like this is a great way to brighten your mood. Plus, its just a fantastic movie! (Available on Netflix)

Well, that's all I have for today! I think that I'm slowly becoming the queen of lists. I'm actually blogging on a new computer, so sorry for any awkward mistakes I might have made. I really don't know how to work it (lol)!
I hope that you look back at this whenever you're needing some movie therapy.
Stay groovy,
xo Camille
